Spring Break 2010

Spring Break was so much fun this year. We didn't do anything new but we had fun. Monday was full of playing and playing and more playing. It warmed up a little in the afternoon so we went out for some fun with oats, bread crumbs and beans. Funny what you come up with when you have no sand and it's not warm enough for water. :)

Tuesday we were scheduled to go to the newly renovated Fort Worth museum but it was crazy packed shortly after it opened so we had a change of plans. Because of the rain, we decided to go to the indoor play area at Ridgmar mall and to ride the carousel. We also took a ride up and down the escalator which they thought was so much fun. Easily amused! After we left there, we braved Chuck E Cheese. Never again.

On Wednesday, Grammy & Papa spent the day with them and did all sorts of fun things. I worked for a few hours and then got my eyebrows done! Sorry, no pictures of my eyebrows (before or after)!
On Thursday, we were invited to Six Flags with some friends. We got there around 5pm so the crowd had somewhat cleared out but it was still pretty crowded. We were able to ride a few things and everyone had fun.

Daniel was off Friday but it was too cold to do anything away from home. So, we basically hung around the house and did this and that.
We are looking forward to summer!

Pals

Having two kids close in age can be difficult at times but it is well worth it. As Cate continues to grow and learn more, Cooper really enjoys playing with her. He loves to have "conversations" with her and to teach her new things. Not too long ago (while I was out enjoying the company of friends) Cooper decided to give Cate her first hair cut. Luckily, it wasn't as bad as it seemed when I was handed all the hair in a ziploc bag. Cooper put a head band on her, sprayed her hair with water and went to town giving her a trim here and a layer there! They came out of the bathroom and Cooper announced to Daniel that "Cate is beautiful now!" She thought she was too!! :) Poor Daniel was just trying to clean up the kitchen and thought the kids were watching a movie. Like I said, it could've been way worse. These two are so much fun and I look forward to seeing them grow and play together.

Playing with Grandma & Grandpa's new puppies!

This was the best day ever for her!

Cooper was so gentle with them & loved having them chase him around!

Cooper loves showing Cate some of the things he likes to do. She loves it now!

They were playing with all the cushions, then decided to rest.

A Taste of Spring

We've had a taste of spring with a few days of warm weather here and there so we had to take advantage of it! My kids, like most I assume, love the outdoors. So, any chance we can get outside and soak in the sun we jump on it. Just yesterday Cooper saw the sun shining and said "Look Momma! The sun!! We can go swimming!!" I had to explain the water was not quite ready but that it would be soon enough. My kids are anxious to start wearing there shorts and flip flops again. Here are a few pics of Cate enjoying the warm weather. Cooper was at school and when we are outside, he is not still for more than a second so I can snap a picture. I'm going to have to work on that or get a faster camera!

She loves to go high!
AJ & Cate are pretty good buds.
Finally a chance to jump on the trampoline without her Bubba bouncing her.
